Our Values
Since its founding by Al Van Kirk over 25 years ago,
King’s Medical Group is a biblically-based,
values-driven company, unswervingly committed to our people,
our partners and our patients. In all of our actions, we
consistently strive to demonstrate a profound respect for
all individuals. We believe all people share a common
dignity under God, and this belief guides our relationships
with others.
People, Accountability,
Communications, and Stewardship are
King's core values and represent far more than empty
rhetoric. Lack of capital and uncertainty surrounding new
technology investments were often reasons for not adding new
diagnostic technology. Consequently, patients had to be
sent to distant cities for CT scans, and specialists,
including radiologists, choosing to work where diagnostic
imaging equipment was located.
Excellence in communications revolves around the pursuit of truth, and this pursuit of truth demands that we unselfishly listen and endeavor to understand. We recognize that in order to promote successful communications, we must provide an open door—and keep an open mind. We always seek first to understand and then to be understood by being available to one another and being effective listeners.
Stewardship addresses our responsibility to use company and personal resources wisely on behalf of those we serve. Profitability is not an end in itself, but rather a means of accomplishing our higher objectives.
