Oncology Services Joint Ventures
King’s entered the oncology services arena in the 1990s, motivated by the knowledge that radiation therapy, required by 50% of all cancer patients, was only offered by about 25% of hospitals nationwide due to high equipment costs and risk factors. King’s partners with hospitals and physicians to construct facilities, purchase equipment, and staff and operate the service. King’s also provides PET and PET/CT modalities and technology, and offers several partnership structures and ownership arrangements to hospitals and physicians
to deliver this service.
