In 2002 King’s Medical enabled Warren General Hospital to
enter the fixed site high field MRI market. Upgrading from
mobile service allowed us to almost double our MRI volume in
the first year and enjoy significant growth in each
successive year. In 2007 we renewed and extended our
contract with King’s to upgrade our MRI service. The King’s
fee for service program has allowed us to grow profitably
and minimize risk.
The partnership with King’s is a seamless, collaborative
effort. The King’s staff members are professional,
responsive and accommodating to our needs, working with us
to meet mutual goals. They market the service as a member of
the Warren General Hospital team. The partnership has
benefited not only MRI, but all of our imaging and
non-imaging services. While visiting physician offices they
are able to gather broad market information allowing us to
improve overall services, to seek additional market
opportunities and to address potential problem areas.
An important aspect of our relationship is King’s commitment
and involvement with our community, supporting us in the
promotion of the hospital’s goals. Because of the long-term
MRI marketing success we have asked King’s to assist in
marketing other hospital services.
